Outdoors: Students make grade on water

Jonny on the spot: Jonny Schultz of West Bend won the BASS Junior Bassmaster Wisconsin State Championship on Crystal Lake in Lodi last weekend. Schultz, a member of the Oshkosh Junior Bassmasters, caught four bass for 7.85 pounds to win the 11 to 14 age group. His largest fish was largemouth checking in at 2.94 pounds, which was Big Bass for the tournament.

La Crosse's Ryan Welch was the 15-18 winner. The boys qualified to fish in the BASS Junior World Championships Feb. 17 and 18 on Lake Logan Martin in Birmingham, Ala.
